There’s more than a grain of truth to this one. It happened to me
They could also be a junkie. I had a friend from HS contact me and when I responded, she said “I have a drug problem and live in a motel and have no money. Could you give me some?” Like point blank, no subtlety at all. I felt bad but blocked her.
