An openly trans user posts to the steamdeck subreddit to share their experience with Baulder’s Gate 3 on the deck. Bigots and creeps come crawling out of the woodwork to make all kinds of comments. Most of which are quickly axed by the mod team, but there are a couple kernels of popcorn left:

But while one of the mods was doing janny work it seems one user may have been unjustly hit with the ban hammer?

Then six hours later a post is made calling for the removal of the mod in question. After 26 comments and hitting 97% upvoted it was removed by the mods as it is not directly related to the steamdeck.

    God, what a bloodbath. Reading through the comments looked all normal and then I got towards the bottom and it’s just a flood of comments deleted by the mods.

    I don’t understand why people are like this. I can understand being frustrated by a post that’s very similar to posts that are very common in a community (ie. the picture of Steam Deck in the lap running some game), but there is absolutely not justification for the sort of treatment being given to OP in that thread. I’m glad the mods put the hammer down on those losers.
