Not a veteran, but… During the 90s, while still in primary school, a friend of mine bought a Chip magazine with a CD attached and instructions inside the magazine how to install a mysterious thing called “Linux” from said CD. It was supposed to be something like Windows 95, but new, better and it had a Penguin on it, so we decided to try it.

We followed magazine’s installation guide to the letter (or at least we thought so) until the installation stuck at error saying KERNEL PANIC!!! and wouldn’t let us finish. We didn’t understand English much back then, but we found the panicking kernel hilarious. Anyway, we figured it’s been enough h4Ck!nG for that day and got back to playing Diablo 1.

As soon as I start thinking about what Kagi offers, there are the following cons popping into my head:

• I don’t even want to be logged in in order to search
• how does incognito search work if you need to be logged in?

Some e-mail providers (like Proton for example) allow you to import your e-mails and contacts from gmail - that’s a start. You probably have all your passwords saved in browser/manager so you will know where to go to update them - unfortunately I don’t think there’s an automated way to do it, but it probably seems like more hassle than it actually is. I’d also search your mailbox for keywords like “welcome” or “account” to see if there are any other services you forgot you signed up for and haven’t saved the password in browser/manager.

After all is migrated and updated, you would probably want to delete your google account but I wouldn’t do that right away, just to give yourself some extra time in case you forgot about something. Log out of all google services and stop using them. Set a reminder for 1 year from now to delete the account.

I’m allergic to Apple, so for me they are the least interesting from the list. I just purchased the Sony’s, I must be fucked up in the head to spend so much money on headphones but hey, it’s “treat yourself” day. And the Apple’s are of course unreasonably even more expensive… (see the other video someone posted here).

Perhaps Apple added metal weights again so the headphones appear more “sophisticated”, like they did with Beats…

But you could actually use it for playing? Will try it, don’t remember if I tried wired because in my case, it’s been a while too
