Once again proving your name wrong, if I had any self awareness I’d probably worry how often I agree with someone named dumbass

Outta curiosity, why that rule? Whatever the reason, I admire the restraint lol
The way I was specifically talking about was for the project to be fully open source, but with an optional paid service aimed at businesses that ensures priority attention to bugs and feature requests. I’ve also seen open source projects with paid binaries, most commonly for iOS where it costs the devs money to keep an app on the app store so users can compile it themselves for free or pay for the (still open source) precompiled app. Open source and paid don’t have to be mutually exclusive, although the culture of free like freedom and free like free beer is great and I hope we never lose that.
Definitely don’t have time for another playthrough but I hope you get a good group together! Also if you guys wanted to I think status updates on your playthrough would be a cool addition to this sub
I personally don’t mind at all if open source projects want to sell a “pro” version for businesses, as long as it’s still open source. Selling priority troubleshooting and dev attention to issues to businesses seems like one of the less offensive ways to fund open source projects in a capitalist society, imo
If we set $F_moon/F_me = 1$ so the attraction is equal, her mass and the gravitational constant cancel out so we end up with $$ (M_moon / r^2_moon) / (M_me / r^2_me) = 1 $$ which we can rearrange to $$ r_me = r_moon sqrt(M_me/M_moon) $$ which is 0.011m, or 1.1cm
(My lemmy client doesn’t show latex markdown but hopefully at least some do so this looks less dogshit)
Edited to add: this also treats human beings like point masses, which is a less than useful approximation for close distances. The answer isn’t that you’d need to be nearly touching, it’s that your centers of mass would need to be nearly touching, ie your bodies would have to physically overlap
It can’t make gentoo users like it 😭
Okay exact same versions of everything, this’ll be interesting to try to troubleshoot lol
Thanks for giving me hope on this!
Damn yeah exact same args I’ve been using, with no luck. Are you running amd or nvidia?
On gamescope or another compositor? I’m trying to run it on plasma and having no luck on any version
Edit: should also mention it starts, it just freezes usually during the load screen and only occasionally makes it to the main menu
Oh I just assumed it was loss but didn’t actually see it till now, so figured markdown struck again lmao
Damn, the envvar fix didn’t fix bg3 not working with Wayland/hdr
I think markdown ate your newline, you gotta put two spaces at the end of the last line or it just ignores line breaks
Was that pre-QMK? They went open source for their keyboard firmware, so if that’s why they abandoned yours it’s shitty but at least you know it’ll never happen again now the community can support the hardware in the worst case
Keychron has one that’s configurable with a web launcher (so no bloatware) and I like their other mice, but I’ve never tried that one
Choosing to believe the bowls were different sizes for the different bears and the depth of porridge in the bowl determines how quickly it cools
Wow thanks for the quick response, so I’m gathering those are not bg3 characters and this is a crossover lmao
Who’s the one under karlach’s right arm?
Mangohud is great, but last time I checked the hdr option it can show only works on gamescope, so if you’re using any other compositor it won’t be accurate
If you pick a resolution that requires fractional scaling (eg 1080p on your 1440p monitor) it’ll look real dogshit because it’s trying to represent one game pixel with like one and a half real ones along either direction. A resolution that would use integer scaling (ie 720p for your monitor) will just use two pixels in either direction to show one game one (like four pixels all showing the same thing), so it’ll be more pixellated but much less blurry and gross. FSR is the better solution most of the time, but if you did want to go below native again that’d make it a little less gross.
