A dry subject that’s not so cool.

People downvoting a detailed technology connections video about HVAC gear? What is wrong with Lemmy today?

I think it’s bots that are targeting users. I have seen downvotes less than a minute after posting on good content.

In the same vein, sometimes you will notice one user who very recently posted a bunch of comments on a post and they literally all have 2 downvotes, yet are about entirely different things.

Here I was getting dehumidifier and dehydrator confused and wondering how running a dehydrator with an AC running was going to be bad. Oops brain.

Ugh. The video is an hour long. I’ve been telling people this forever but these things are pretty useless. Your AC system is a dehumidifier. That’s why there’s water pouring out of it.

A smarter AC system will run continuously at a lower output as opposed to a binary operation at max output. This will better dehumidify the space.

But whole point of his channel is that goes into excessive detail about some sort of mundane piece of tech.

My AC will cool the house, but it will still be uncomfortably humid. I haven’t tried a dehumidifier in addition to the AC, but I’ve been tempted. I don’t want to take the temp in the house too low.

You can skip a large chunk (he even tells you when) if you’re familiar with the refrigeration cycle.
