As someone that frequently visits a stadium that hosts both Football and Rugby matches, the difference is night and fucking day between the two.
What do you mean?
One of them, I sit in a stand with supporters from both sides. We sing and chant our teams, get jubilant when we win, get slightly annoyed when we lose. Families bring their kids and the youth team does a little friendly game before the match. Afterwards we both clap the two teams and call it a day and go home.
The other, I live in fear that something is going to fly into the back of my head. The children are calling the opposition players cunts. Their parents chanting a lot worse. The fans are separated for their safety? And I have dodge piss on the way out the stadium.
