The US sure as hell doesn’t act like a country confident in its ability to lead. The truth is the Founding Genocidal Slaveowners couldn’t have stolen a better piece of land, the US has to look for problems because to the north and south they’re either bordered by peaceful neighbors or fish.

I’d argue that China would do one better and find a win win cooperation if the USA would just act in good faith (as if they ever have). China has repeatedly shown to be peaceful in general. That’s not to say they’re a perfect utopia or anything but they at least appear to operate in good faith and with the intention of improving material conditions.

I honestly couldn’t care less which approach wins. China and US can prosper together or China can become a dominant country in a world without yanks, it’s all the same to me.
