Just before the update I was playing all right, console logs does not have anything weird I can go off of, but it doesn’t start anything relevant to the game starting a window
I’ve tried running it on GE 9.25(i was using this previously), GE 9.16 and 10.0-1 with no success, using the launch option SteamDeck=1 %command%
Anyone able to get the game running?
Isn’t there a new proton version 10-1 specifically addressing this? https://steamdeckhq.com/news/proton-ge-10-1-released-with-proton-10/ I don’t know if you mean that with 10.0.1
I meant Valve’s Proton 10.0-1. But just installed ProtonGE 10-1 and it didn’t run it either, it just hangs like this on the logs
Wine client error:0: version mismatch 787/856.
Check for and kill all wine-related processes and then swap Proton versions for the game again.
Seeing prefix breakage messages with a wine version mismatch is often because of remnants of WINE processes that didn’t stop correctly. Steam prevents game launches for games that still have child processes present from previous launches.
For me game is running. I have the newest update of Marvel Rivals Version 20250515. In the past it would not run with Proton Experimental and had to switch to Proton 10.0-1 (beta) (still do). Also had to add
SteamDeck=1 %command%
, to make it run again. It runs right now as I write.Sometimes after a system update I need to restart, otherwise games don’t launch. So maybe do system update now and restart entire PC and operating system, if you didn’t already.
Weirdly I think it was a system update problem. Did it and restarted and now it works, thanks
I played yesterday, I always run MR with Proton Experimental.
