I mean, there’s strong evidence of Russian interference in other ways, mostly through social media propaganda. But from everything I’ve seen, there’s little evidence that Trump or his campaign were directly involved in that. Not saying they were or weren’t, just that there’s little evidence that has come to light.
Trump does seem to have an oddly favorable view toward Russia and Putin, and there is evidence that he and his companies have financial support coming from Russia.
You have to admit, there’s something screwy about the whole thing. It begs the question of why anyone outside of our country would go to the trouble of attempting to influence our election for a particular candidate, especially considering the known financial ties.
My view of Biden would certainly be changed somewhat if I found out that a significant number of social media posts in his support were coming from random IPs in China, and if he suddenly had a very chummy relationship with Xi Jinping. I would also have concerns if amidst all of that, Biden insisted on having completely off the record meetings with Xi. And if around the same time Biden secured some favorable loans or investments from the Chinese… So why is it that Trump supporters so easily dismiss these things?
You must be able to see why people have drawn connections and wanted investigations. These weren’t just unfounded wild goose chases.
Absolutely. I just also think that some people have latched on to that idea to ths exclusion of all else. A little bit of consideration that maaaaaybe the left had a point with all of our critiques would be nice. Although the message seems to at least have been half-heard by the Biden team, hence all of the student loan forgiveness etc.
