I had a rental car recently and was driving home with two gallons of milk on the front passenger seat and that was enough to have it sound the alarm for about 5 minutes. I wouldn’t mind having something like this in the glove box for those times you need to put luggage or groceries on the seat.

Dog on the seat is why I have two. I have one that clips the dog in and attaches to his harness but when he lays across the back seats in my partners car it goes off for the other side and middle seat. It’s a newer car so alarms for all seats and the dog weighs enough to set them off.

Otherwise agree with you they are generally for fools

I mean, how am I supposed to open my beer while the silencer is in the seatbelt end? So I either spill my beer or have to listen to the alarm for the 30 seconds it takes to open it (it takes longer because I have to focus in steering with my knees). Sigh, I’ll just buy two I guess.
