Tracker control is not really very reliable when it comes to these things. For example: if a browser does not link to google, but the user goes to google.com, the app will show blocked google trackers.

I haven’t checked the source code of infinity for lemmy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if those links are not made by the app itself.

And if I may make an unsolicited suggestion, get rid of tracker control and switch to a private DNS such as https://nextdns.io/ or https://adguard-dns.io/en/welcome.html: they block much more effectively, more control on your part, and fewer errors or apps that don’t work. If you are interested here is a video where everything is explained https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUG57ynLb8I

I use Tracker Control (I don’t get why the hate for it from others, but whatever…), And mostly likely what it’s picking up on is external images, assets, or links from the app. If you click on a link in the app, it’ll show that as a thing the app accessed. So if you click on a Google link or a Twitter link, it’ll show up in TC.

Wow! Could ask what app you are using? I have Duckduckgo app tracker protection on and it’s not showing me any trackers for IFL.

Might be using App Manager from FDroid, but I’m not sure. I have App Manager, but I don’t have root on my phone. So it might have the ability to block trackers, but I can’t tell for sure.

I downloaded from F-Droid and scanned it. Results are:

I’m guessing you clicked on links in posts, the link opened in the internal browser and those websites had trackers. It was the same for the Reddit version.

Are they in your log? In TC the author, or rather “plagerizer” of Netguard will tell you trackers may be present but not active. I’ll bet that I’d exactly what happened here.
