Preemptive strike
What if one of those children became the next Hitler? You can never be too careful.
Hey, that hospital was being run by Hamas. Which makes it an evil hospital.
Those children? Necessary collateral damage.
How about the fact that they’re launching rockets out of it? Hamas clearly doesn’t care for it’s own people.
Hamas and Likud both hold on to their power if they stay perpetually at war. It radicalizes the population to back the strongman factions against the threat. Neither has a reason to do anything but make the situation worse
