I specifically joined Lemmy over Kbin to avoid the concept. It also makes 80% of the screen taken up by a header.
Also, upon trying to post this I have discovered that the “make a post” option is extremely hidden if you have the floating button thing disabled, because you have to click the […] and then the “more options” option before you can find it. That seems clunky.
And while I’m here, I may as well rant about how I hate the floating button things and I wish I could disable them from comments pages.
based on the votes of OP’s post I was thinking:
couldn’t this be a toggleable option?
- [letting the user decide whether to see karma sum or not]
I don’t even see the karma?
It’s in the latest nightly release.
I think they are referring to the changes I’ve made to the user/community pages
I’m using Compact mode and in general I find these headers to take up way too much space. I think the info should be moved to an “About” tab on profiles, and the info on communities should be added to the existing About tab. Most people won’t need to see it every time they open either of these pages.
An issue has been opened for this problem: https://codeberg.org/Bazsalanszky/Infinity-For-Lemmy/issues/144
Thanks!
Just implemented an option to disable either the stat block altogether or just the post/comment scores in this commit. I’ve built a new nightly I so you can test it 😄
That’s so funny, I installed the new build just moments before I got this message. Works great!
Ohh, what version is this? I have it from obtainium and it doesn’t look like that for me.
It’s in the latest nightly build. Someone made a nice guide on how to use it with Obtainium: https://lemmy.one/comment/2026693
The new version will be released in a few days if everything goes fine.
omg, I LOVE this…
