It was 47c on my farm the other day. It’s a subtropical location. Many of my otherwise healthy citrus trees have random amounts of burned branches now. Many young trees burned up completely despite having been watered. Even weeds like lantana, notorious for being next to impossible to kill without digging them up, burned to a crisp. This is like nothing ever seen here, as we enter the 6th heat wave of the summer.

Check the fruit too. Have seen cases of temperate-latitude fruits being damaged by heat like that; not quite so sure about citrus.

Citrus is amazingly tough, but yes, it’s quite possible they have fruit damage. Most varieties I grow are all still quite small this time of year, but I need to cut some open and have a look.
