      FDev lacked the ability to make Elite a great game. It had lots of potential but ultimately it was just an Ok game. Plus the story moved absolutely glacially. It took an entire decade for them to finally introduce thargoids in any meaningful form, but they dangled it in front of players as “just after the next update” the whole time.

      rock band 2 (and guitar hero 2) introduced me to my favorite band, That Handsome Devil. though it took about a decade to really get into them

    Yeah, I’m guessing I’m the right audience for Starfield :)

    That said, I liked but didn’t love No Man’s Sky. Wandered around and got a bit bored. Tried a few times to get more into it but couldn’t.

    • Hollow Knight
    • Jak & Daxter series
    • Demon’s souls

    None of my top games are RPGs, but I do enjoy them a lot. Loved Skyrim and Fallout 3, looking forward to playing something that hits that same feeling.
