Why think there’s somethin to be said, something worthwhile, in the comments. It’s almost never true. OP is almost always the one doing the work to make something or make a statement. Keep the votes, but lose the people trying to score points in the comments.
Honestly, I dispised the content of your post so much, that I came to the comments to complain and to see if any other commenters were complaining too. Comments are the best part.

Unpopular indeed; at least to me.
I look to the comments to get other perspectives and additional information that may have been overlooked in the original post. Then of course, discussion can ensue. Sprinkle in some memes in the right places and it works well for me.
My unpopular opinion is that OP should go back to reddit.
And use Infinity for Lemmy to make a backwards transition to Infinity for Reddit.
