Jennifer Vasquez Sura criticizes DHS’s attempt to smear her wrongly deported husband over 2021 civil protective order
The wife of Kilmar Ábrego García, the Maryland man unlawfully deported to a mega-prison in El Salvador, has strongly criticized the Trump administration’s attempt to smear his character, saying a temporary restraining order against him was “out of caution” and that “he is a loving partner and father” who is being denied justice.
Jennifer Vasquez Sura said she “acted out of caution after a disagreement with Kilmar” when she got the civil protective order in 2021, according to a statement emailed to the Baltimore Sun.
Vasquez Sura said she decided not to follow through with the civil court process because “things did not escalate” with her husband.
She is a widow.
They killed her husband already.
They are smearing him so when it finally comes out they can say “he deserved it”
Thankfully, it appears he’s still alive, and has met with a sitting US senator. I admit I was thinking he was already dead too, but I’m glad I’m wrong.
Just to update, Hollen was able to meet with Garcia a few hours ago, so he is thankfully alive.
This doesn’t resolve the main issue of the unjustified deportation, but this at least puts more pressure on the shitty US government to bring home back to his family
Even if he was shit heel, a judge told them to bring him back and they refused. It’s a distraction from the real issue.
Yeah, he could literally be a gang member (he’s not) and have good reasons for priority deportation (he doesn’t) and it wouldn’t matter. He had a court order that prevented him being sent to El Salvador and another requiring his return and they haven’t adhered to them. Anything else they want to do can be done from the US in US courts.

The depths this administration will go to seems to have no bottom.
They are already using AI to hunt down anyone that complains on social media.
