Yeah. Actually confused me for a minute and I had to go dig into all the different communities on mander.
I think it makes sense to change the display name.
Well…it can be an long conversation but the TL;DR is there were several space communities and it will help lemmy grow to consolidate. Mander was chosen because they are science focused and LW holds ~40% of all lemmy users. To avoid one community from dominating lemmy we need to spread the usage to multiple instances.
Seems like you’re on the west coast (USA). Me too.
I’m hoping I get to duck out for a bit and take it all in after bedtime and chores. I won’t be able to pull out a telescope tonight, but sometimes binoculars surprise me.
Where are you located? How harsh of winters do you get? How wet is your spring?
I’ve always been interested in doing this. Winters are fairly mild here in my part of the PNW, but have doubts that I wouldn’t just have a mud pit in the fall/spring.
Ooooo. That’s fun.
Got any pictures of the wintertime? Curious what it looks like then.
Agreed. Started casually listening a few months ago. The content quality is so high! Started with the first few then jumped around. So far I’ve liked every episode I’ve listened too.
No straps? Middle of the US somewhere?
Whoever took this photo should be stripped of their ability to operate (or fail to operate) a camera/phone.
Agreed. This will not come from a LLM…but honestly don’t think it’s that far off.
Can’t do this YET one method to reduce this could be to: create a response to query, then before responding to the human, check if answer is insane by querying a separate instance trained slightly differently…
Give it time. We will get past this.
Will have to check it out. It’s a new name to me.
You can do anything with python. Just like you can do anything with C/C++. It’s a matter of time and knowledge. MATLAB + Simulink beats python hands down, that’s why it’s so widely used for controls. Why waste time and money to customize python to do everything.
You can walk anywhere…but I bet you don’t only use that mode of transport (i.e. you bicycle, drive a car, ride the bus/subway, fly, etc.)
Hard disagree. Nothing comes close to MATLAB + Simulink. Nothing is even trying to cover the same usages.
Old Jansport was great. New Jansport is utter trash. You will get 1-2 years of light use before it breaks.
Yeah, I don’t have that option on jerboa and loading lemmy in a browser on mobile is a terrible experience.
Yes. You’ll be missing out on a some stuff…that you likely don’t use. Propritary security features is a big one. Propritary backdoors. Actual validation of all the features has not been done unless the oem enabled coreboot.if it was not the oem, it’s only functional validation which can bring out corner cases. With a MB that old, I’m not familiar enough to speak about specific features that would be missing.
If you are a generic computer user, you will never know the difference other than a quicker boot and different splashscreen.
I’m a fan of coreboot.
Exciting news. I loved watching the nasa channel when I was younger. It had lots of boring content, but was the only way I knew how to watch launches when you are nowhere near a spaceport/launchsite.
Hope the put some funding towards educational content.
Curious what your issues with glusencamp-perez are? I don’t live in her district, but seems like she represents her constituents fairly well for how politically split the district is…but again I’m not necessarily in the know.
