If your browser supports uBlock Origin you can use it to block an instance. Basically just add something like this under ‘My Filters’:

lemmy.one##.post-listing:has-text(@hexbear.net)

Where ‘lemmy.one’ is the instance you’re browsing from, and ‘@hexbear.net’ is the instance you wish to block. The ‘@’ prefix is necessary

Thank you for the well thought out response. I think that’s a lot more utility than I get out of my current watch. Responding to texts would be a nice feature, as I don’t usually carry my phone at all times. I may snag an OG Pixel Watch when they release the Pixel Watch 2

I have a Mobvoi Ticwatch, which at this point is just an expensive pedometer - although I do appreciate the incoming call notifications, so I’ve been thinking of upgrading. As a daily driver, what would you say are the top 3 things you use the google watch for, and how well does it do those things?

That was the first thing I thought of! Watching the side bow out, but not break or collapse, when my guy face planted was pretty awesome 😂

Using text-to-speech software and a cron job
At random intervals (several times an hour):
Get volume level
Lower volume level (think ghostly whisper)
Use T-T-S to say something barely audible
Return Volume to previous level

Bonus points if your hands are away from the keybd, or it’s someone else’s machine
