That is one of the sickest burns I’ve read in a while.
Buy a faraday bag and keep your phone in it at all times unless you’re using it or sitting at home. That’s what I do.
It’s extreme, but I don’t see any other defense except not having a phone.
Nope. I’m good.
I was going to say… meanwhile, car driver kills a motorcyclist and all they have to do is utter the phrase “I didn’t see him”. Big oopsie!
I gave them every opportunity to do the right thing. I’m only trying to warn others.
Skilhunt has really shitty customer service. They sold me a flashlight with a broken charger and refused to replace it.
No. People who call out the ‘tolerance paradox’ are misunderstanding social tolerance. Tolerance of other humans is part our social contract to live with each other without violence. If you abandon the social contract by being hateful or violent to others, you are no longer protected by it. There is no paradox.
Animal abuse
Edit: For everyone defending this, I don’t care if they are at the vet, and I don’t care if the cat “did it to itself” (another sign of owner negligence). The owner is still taking delight in sharing a picture of their own animal in distress. They think it’s cute, and that’s gross.
I don’t know what to say except I’m sorry you’re ok with that kind of behavior.
Because he’s a racist shithead.
Put it on fullscreen, mute it, put a Purple Disco Machine megamix on, enjoy.
I retired a little younger than that. Got into IT in the dark ages when nobody knew what the hell was going on yet, and I was good at it. Timing and luck.
They have been institutionalized.
I saw so many people like that when I worked for a major telco. These people worked for the same company their whole lives and were brainwashed to hell and back. They weren’t just drinking the Kool Aid, they were serving it to other employees. It was sad.
We do, it’s called Social Security and the goons currently in charge are trying as hard as they can to dismantle it. Even then, it’s barely enough to survive on for a lot of people since it’s tied to how much income you made during your working life. And we all know the state of income inequality.
No idea man. I retired in January, about the same age as you. Have barely thought about work since. Don’t miss it at all.
Sorry man. :( I’d be long dead if I was in that situation.
I think the rule is, “Don’t guess at that ever ever ever ever ever ever ever.”
