Big fan of SBC gaming, open source engine recreations/source ports, gaming in general, alternative operating systems, and all things modding.
Trying to post and comment often in an effort to add to Lemmy’s growth.
Isn’t an initialism a subcategory of acronym by definition?
Is that correct? I think by definition an initialism can be considered a form of acronym. The way I worded the question includes those subsets of acronyms
Mount Your Friends is an Xbox 360 era go-to for me. Very easy to get into and gets people competitive (in a good way). The only downside is it’s probably not the most appropriate game to play with kids for your situation
Not the best to any degree but just wanted to shout out the Pimps at Sea mod for Halo MCC that adds boats
Is Black Flag good to play if you don’t like or follow the over arching story of Assassins Creed?
I felt like it kind of pulled me out of other games in the series
Another one that came to mind is TF2. I like Titanfall 2 more than Team Fortress 2 but I associate the acronym with Team Fortress 2.
I wish there was an option to turn off link-only posts. At least have something in the body of the post. Maybe a quote or a TLDR. Otherwise it just feels like a bot posting.
I am not a fan. I don’t like link dumps. It doesn’t create a discussion and the article or whatever is being relayed might be total shit and there could be better or more direct sources.
If I saw a Hackaday article about a neat project on GitHub I wouldn’t just post the article with the original title. I would probably link the GitHub page and in the body of the post link the article with a quote and maybe post similar projects in case people are interested.
I specifically dislike the bots that repost content from Reddit. The communities they post to feel fake and end up receiving so many posts actual Lemmy users posting to them get washed away in the flood.
It’s not a big deal for some communities (ex. Nature photos) but doesn’t make sense for discussion focused ones.
I block those bots
Is anyone surprised by this? I feel like similar things have happened in the past with back breeding
That’s how I ended up with so many games in my backlog
This is the same reason that you need to cook ground beef to a much higher temperature than you need to cook a steak, more surface area, more points of possible contamination.
I didn’t know this.
If I raised my own chickens and treated them well would it be an issue to eat them raw? It kind of sounds a bit like a mad cow disease situation where it’s more a byproduct of the industrialized nature of the industry
That can’t be the record for the largest poop
If you are still looking for someone I’d be happy to help. I’m huge into Fallout 3
Aren’t push daggers illegal in the US?
Really? I really have to watch Star Trek
Good dinner party fact that we now all have
I am surprised we don’t see more jellyfish in space sci-fi. Even if purely for aesthetics.
I’ve got a stockpile of them
I get you. I would definitely play a Tale of Two Wastelands mod that combines Fallout 4 and 76.
