Being a native french speaker, I feel it’s actually closer to the real pronunciation than the “kwah” alternative. I would add don’t pronounce the T and you’re pretty much there.
He autographed bombs the IDF were planning to drop on Palestine. He even posted a photo of himself doing it.
You say that, but I wonder who was the target audience because I am not aware of anybody I know liking it. Appart from some kids who liked the bright colours and the childish Farrel humor, but clearly they don’t get all the meaning of the movie (and most adult jokes). I am a man, feminist and I hated it with a passion. My girlfriend and my women friends, all feminists, did not like it. My more apolitical friends thought it was just ok at best. It’s a “white liberal girlboss” type of feminism that is too shallow for people really invested in this subject, and at the same time too obvious and in your face for anti-woke warriors. It felt like it was just a 2 hours long advertisement for Matel.
This and The Joker are the two movies that come to mind when this type of question comes up. Inception is not particularly bad, just so… correct. I was expecting something really mindbinding, that would make me rethink about it long after the movie was over. It was just a pretty scenery with mid acting. No amount of practical effect can carry a movie on his own. The Joker on the other hand was just a waste of my time and left me infuriated.
If someone asked me what genre of game is Bioshock, I would not directly go to “horror game” the same way I would for, let’s say Outlast. But it clearly has horror elements to it and I got more scared in that game than some others that are classified as such. Even on my second run I had some good jumpscares.
I was reading through the Steam reviews and even the positive ones are all saying “don’t pay it full price”. Like that’s not a sign of a bad game.
Gotta know what death metal band was listened to unhealthy volume levels.
Those cats got faces like in those medieval paintings.
If that bird was in a Disney movie it would be the ultra sassy character.
There was also a time when people would get pay to press an elevator button for you. But we don’t do that anymore because those things are super easy and having someone doing it for you won’t make the process faster.
On the other hand, the thing that pisses me off the most about the self-checkout is that people take forever to scan their stuff. When I was working as a cashier I would have an average of 50 clients/hour. There ain’t no way those self checkout are more efficient considering the time people take.
Or having braces. Everyone I know who got them had that dream at least once : you dream you finaly get to remove them and the second you do so your teeth start falling out.
Actually this is the interpretation I got lol
Glad you liked it ! I think this band is a little bit of a hidden gem. Their albums “The Goat of Mendes”, “Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone” and “Antichrist” are really worth checking out.
Such a tough question because I want to shout out songs across multiple subgenres. Death Grips - No Love, Primus - Frizzle Fry (especially the ending), Quo Vadis - Silence Calls the Storms, Rage Against the Machine - Settle for Nothing, Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose, Denzel Curry - Ultra (feat Yung Kane , Nell , Slikk , Rell), Vivaldi’s Summer 3rd Movement and half of the Acid Bath or Ulcerate catalog. If I have to settle for one song though I think I would go for :
Ahab - Old Thunder
However, if I can choose a particular snipet of a song that I think is the heaviest thing I have ever heard period, I would go for Akercocke - Leviathan, between the marks of 3:30 and 4:00. I was legit scared first time I heard that. You gotta listen to it from the beggining though because that build up is insane.
Just go read the 1 star reviews of the game Cult of the Lamb on Google. More than half of them are pearl clutching christians being completely shocked by the thematic. They see it as part of an agenda to promote satanism to kids instead of just being a game with a silly premise.
