You can doubt their validity all you want, but they’re there—including the right of the secretary to “waive or modify”—WAIVE or modify—“the existing provisions.” It’s quoted in the majority opinion then ignored by the ruling.
That is the apple being legislated into a banana.
I’m watching this now because we’re about to do the same in October or whenever that turns back on. We’re even having to return the Pell grant credit from being that close to paying everything off.
I just want to be done with it all, there’s no political will for it. The excuses are constant. The Supreme Court majority would call an Apple a banana if it meant they could deliver something miserable to their very politically defined opponents by legislating from the bench.
I think the only thing going through is if you’ve been paying for more than 20 years. It’ll be a LONG time before that happens for us, so we just want to send it all back.
I’m curious if anyone else knows more though.
I’m a few hundred dollars in and I’m actually on my way out thanks to their grossness this spring. I’m too slow to have gone for many modules, but rules books were super fun and thus a money sink. I’m trying to move my group over to PbtA (cheap by comparison) or Genesys (have you seen the cost of those DICE?!).
My wallet is happy I can’t manage to get groups together to play games and justify buying more games. I’m not.

Every book marketplace I’ve used is focused on selling you what they want to sell you, not what you want to get. Libby just lets me keep track of books on my own terms in my own way. It’s a better experience and through my library. It’s great.
The creator of these either looked at Control as a checklist or the creators of Control looked at this as one.

I’m sampling lots of different apps and have noticed that, while I prefer a massive chunk of Mlem’s features and style, I often find myself using others like Memmy because they have an option for images to show the whole image while scrolling rather than merely a square preview of it.
I get lots of cut off heads, spoiled meme punchlines, and just all around unclear content while scrolling on Mlem due to this missing option. I absolutely see a rationale or two for it, both on the side of an app encouraging engagement and user preference, so I was curious if:
A. I’m missing something and didn’t have any reason to cheat on my beloved Mlem for unspoiled memes, or B. There are any plans for this as an option in the future.

At the funeral home for my FiL talking about urns. We ask about the little ones they have. While doing their little pitch, the funeral director says that “they hold a spoonful of the- the-“ and one of my FiL’s children finishes “spoon full of dad”.
And now I can’t think about cremation without thinking about “spoon full of dad”.
