So… that is a thing you can do for the cost of a domain name and some cheap hosting.

Are you using mainsail to interface with the printer? That is what I have seen most people recommend for klipper printers

I didn’t think about interference. It is pretty close to the bed heating cable and the extruder cable. Probably touching those at points. I will probably stick with the SD card until I can get a Pi and use a much shorter cable. I just lost a print due to this happening 3 times and at this point I don’t want to risk it again right away

Octoprint is a software to manage a printer running marlin firmware.

Klipper is a different printer firmware, and is not something you can use to manage a printer running marlin.

I do want to look at flashing klipper to my sv06 someday but right now I’m just trying to print stuff without manually moving an SD card every time.

Yeah I will try switching cables and if it happens again I’m going back to SD cards. I really liked the convenience of it but that is not applicable if it keeps failing

I agree. In addition to impacting the poor in towns and cities, raising gas prices also has an even larger impact on people in more rural areas where everything is spread out. We do most of our grocery shopping in the next town over, which is 15 miles away, with basically nothing in between. Sure it still takes only 15-20 minutes to get anywhere we want to go, but those minutes are a lot more miles out here compared to driving 15-20 minutes to go a shorter distance I’m a city.

Within towns and cities, infrastructure should be built for people first, not cars, so as to make it easier and more pleasant to navigate a city by foot, bike, or public transit. It drives me crazy how pedestrian hostile most towns are. I’d like to see the design paradigm flipped.

That’s interesting, good to know! I definitely want to get a pi for mine when they are back in stock. I got tired of using the SD card pretty fast so I’m just running octoprint on my windows pc at the moment. I will look into klipper / mainsail in the future

Yeah I definitely want to re-work the whole power supply stuff. I’m not at all happy with that either. Thanks for the feedback! I have had my arduino for like 2 days so I haven’t figured out all the options yet lol

I can upload the cad file if you want to use some of the design, but it’s pretty messy. I know enough about fusion 360 to know I’m not using all the right tools

I have the sv06 and I do not at all regret buying it, but if I had realized the 7 was coming out so soon I probably would have waited for that. It looks nice. I will probably get one at some point. Or a 7 plus if they make one since I do want a bigger printer

I have only one printer and it is a sovol sv06 so I can’t compare it to any creality printers, but it has been great. My understanding is that the sv06 is a clone of a prusa printer. I have had extremely minimal tinkering with mine (other than lubricating bearings once) and I have been printing most days for the past month. I’m sure the prusa has better QC and better customer support but the sovol was less than half the price

Same here. I was hopeful that covid would get people to at least be more conscious about not going places when sick, wearing masks when they are not feeling well, etc. But where I am at, people go to work, church, recreational activities, etc. with the flu and covid, even with positive test results knowing that they are contagious. I don’t understand it and it hasn’t gotten better.

As far as cyberpunk… I still want a full face respirator with a clear face shield (so people can see your lips when you talk), an integrated HUD (for navigation, air quality monitoring, and browsing lemmy), and some LEDs for night time illumination (and aesthetics)
