It looks the same on my 2024 Moto G Stylus. In fact, the battery icon with the percentage next to it has been an option on every Android phone I’ve used for the past decade or so, at least.

Eldritch, but you’re absolutely right. These people are literal monsters in any meaningful definition of the word. I can’t conceive of any human having a void where their empathic sense should be, yet here we are, with a disturbing number of such assholes running around.

By your own highlighted parts, the cards in the OP are not memes. People don’t alter pictures of those signed cards and they don’t mutate. They don’t change via selective pressures as we don’t see new versions where people change the image or the text. Additionally, those pictures of the trading cards are not remixed. They’re shared unaltered. The OP is missing key traits of being a meme. The OP is a picture of some funny jokes that Mark Hamil wrote on some trading cards he autographed. They’re certainly entertaining, but they’re not memes.

This is a common misconception due to the fact that the bun for the Big Mac was a lot bigger back in the day. In fact, Big Macs were made with the smaller hamburger patties well before Supersize Me. I worked there in the late 90s and we used the smaller hamburger patties back then. My mom worked there when I was a kid in the early 80s and they were using the smaller patties then, too. In my lifetime, I’ve never seen a Big Mac made with anything other than the small hamburger patties. And just to check myself, when looking online, I can’t find any references to the burger patties being bigger going all the way back to its launch in 1967, while some sources state that the burger has been mostly unchanged, aside from the bun size and the recipe for the Mac sauce, for its entire existence.

I’m pretty sure you could help but root for him. It seems a simple decision not to root for a blithering, hateful idiot. I’m pretty sure no one was forcing you to cheer on a dumpster fire like that guy. Just because someone’s an underdog doesn’t mean they’re deserving of your consideration. Remember kids, fascism isn’t a meme.

It was definitely a sad movie and not easy to watch at times. However, it was well written and acted, and considering it was the lead’s debut performance, that’s extra impressive. For me, it was one of those movies that’s enjoyable, yet uncomfortable. I think it was very successful in what it set out to do.
