I’ve been trying to use various models for numismatic research, and the problem with that is that they present tons of facts, but the only way to be sure those “facts” are correct is to already know the answer or do separate manual research. The result is that someone with a passing knowledge of some subject will be completely convinced they’re getting correct information, while I’ve seen several hallucinations that were dead wrong. Completely swapping out dates, reigns of monarchs, …

“Simple” example: ask any model for a complete list of all Roman emperors or empresses. I haven’t had a single one with a completely correct answer, they always leave something out.

When I found out my GF was being unfaithful in high school, it damn near killed me. When I found out the exact same thing of my SO at age 22, living together, I felt like you do now. Indifferent. I did feel betrayed and I did leave her (duh) but emotionally, it never really registered the way you would expect it to. I assume this is a human self-preservation mind trick that the “lucky” ones among us experience in these harrowing situations.

Regardless, my condolences. I know no one died, but eventually it will feel sort of like it.

Wish I could say the same. In the last few years almost all small libraries in my region closed. I used to have one in my own village. Now I have to visit the nearest town. Lack of budget… just like what will kill the US libraries.
