Thankfully firefox is open source and has amazing community forks and configs like librewolf, mullvad, and arkenfox user.js. I personally don’t like to support the chromium monopoly, and firefox hardened is better on desktop hands down. Brave also shills crypto so much and makes money off ads so not a great look for a privacy browser.

Less of a leap and more of a careful crawl. Use nee email for new services, and deactivate old accounts if possible. I have yet to selfhost email, but for hosted options proton and tutanota are better than gmail for easily. The issue with selfhosting email is that it is easy to get blacklisted iirc.

Matrix bridging is an option for whatsapp as well as sms, discord, and others, although it does make using these services more private (beyond not having the app installed).
Probably. Just keep in mind that letterboxing (grey margina to normalize screen size and avoid fingerprinting) is enabled by default and changing that would also change your fingerprint. I use librewolf atm, but i am considering switching if it wasn’t for letterboxing.

And how anxiety evolves the more you think about it (anxiety makes more anxiety when it is just bouncing around in your echochamber up-top). You can highlight everything that makes you different or by focusing on your behaviour it becomes forced/odd. At least ime.
I have been using mull for a couple months, and it has been great. I have had websites not loading recently, but i think it is prob my fault messing something up in adb.
Mull takes upstream code and settings/flags from arkenfox and tor, and desktop only extensions can be installed using a custom collection. Using libredirect on mobile is usefull
I do agree on many of your points and I used to use Brave before certain deal breakers. I personally have in addition mulch, cromite, and Privacy Browser for mobile so i can try different options. On desktop, gecko browser are much more comfortable, but i have the ungoogled chromium flatpak browser with ublock. Mozilla has a better track record than google for privacy and is big enough to have good security and updates, and often disallow features that would compromise privacy, that otherwise chromium accepts iirc.
