Really? I use MicroG and Play Store with Play Protect enabled, I installed Droid-ify from GitHub and never got any information from Protect, maybe it’s because I dont use real Pkay Services idk.

Use droid-ify it has better interface than fdroid official app and is always up to date. Never had any problem with play protect

AOSP from my knowledge uses some google addresses like DNS, time server and connectivity check google servers but unless you will install GMS (Play Services), no private data will be sent to google by default.

Meta is really “protecting” their apps integrity and APIs. Tried many Instagram mods and got banned on all of them. Because WhatsApp is now in Meta’s hands they have same policy for WhatsApp probably never tried but if you don’t want to get banned don’t try mods, at least not at your main account.
