If you haven’t gotten used to this insane amount of ads by experiencing the slow, uphill creep, having to go from seeing no ads to suddenly this, is impossible. I couldn’t watch youtube videos in the current state of ads, so I’d just have one less vice.

Also: get over it. Most of the internet works, because people learn of products and then buy them. Personalized ads are sent to show people things, which they specifically might be interested in. People want to sell products and solely this allows many websites you probably like to use, to exist in the first place.

No one here is inherently evil or owns you, because they can show you relevant marketing.

This is not the fault of capitalism, this is lobbying and corruption and no other system would be able to effectively abolish this either.

The cause is human nature and the only things that can prevent this, are better systemic structuring, more decision-making-redundancy and independend inspection.
