I believe firmly that anyone can do it. You just need to find community and a good reason to keep going.
(sorry, don’t know the word in English)
You got me thinking for a moment there but that thing’s called a mortise.
Reminds me of the time I got into an argument on Twitter, and I asked someone for proof of something, and they sent me a screenshot of a Wordpad document. I said I was born in the afternoon, but not that afternoon.
It took me a good 2-3 weeks of practicing and dialling in before pulling a good shot of coffee that I’d actually want to drink,
Could you elaborate? I’m a chef so I’ve helped myself to a fair few coffees from the big espresso machines and I’ve found it easy every time, and the coffee very potable indeed. Just haven’t got the hang of foaming milk yet.
By the same token you’d say someone doesn’t get the choice to drink clean water or piss in a real toilet. You have the right to follow an obviously extant and relatively mainstream philosophy such as veganism when you’re detained and it’s not aiding and abetting or being played to just give him some potatoes or something. In fact you’ve made me laugh.
All countries are states, and a good handful or so countries are federations which call their largest constituencies states, so Germany for example has states, as does Malaysia, as does Australia.
Edit: just reading now that there’s no consensus on what a state is exactly, so, fuck knows.
No, people just have a principle and are applying it evenly. Even if he’s lying about being vegan, there’s not really a downside to giving him vegan food. It seems as if your argument rests on some notion that it hurts everyone’s ego or pride or something to grant this request, because it certainly doesn’t make a material difference to any of us. And you’re seriously misreading people’s arguments in this thread. Did your wife leave you for a vegan or something?
He’s still wearing the same suit with the red tie? The man’s like Bart Simpson.
If I had to rely on that much hyperbole to make the point, I’d reconsider my position, myself.
Are there that many delivery drivers using Google Maps though? I get the feeling they use some other programme in conjunction with their own knowledge of the area. That said, I’ve met people who’ve lived in this city for like ten years who still use the wayfinder thing on their phone, and some delivery companies these days really skimp on equipment, so I wonder.
What problem does feeding a mass murderer dead animals solve exactly? Do you not think it’s disrespectful to animals to treat them as fodder for petty vengeance?
It’s really not fair to reduce a philosophy like veganism to “choices for stuff” and denying your right to follow it, which is legally protected where I’m from at least, to “get reduced”. It’s not like he’s complaining that he can’t change the channel on the radio.
Spot on. The very reason I subscribe to the left wing is because I believe everyone deserves a decent life as far as possible, including people who’ve (allegedly) committed fraud.
I used to do a similar thing where I saved photos as .txt files, but they were an awful lot glitchier, and usually split the RGB channels to look as if you had three eyes and were crossing them.
A hill I die on is not using Google Maps. I use Openstreetmap on my phone and everything and I’m loving life.
I had a brief connection with a woman last year who was similarly deluded but in a different way, but also outstandingly kind, talented, intelligent, etc etc, and she was very open about how much abuse she’d undergone in her life, and it just makes me fucking cry. I’ve never cried about anything so much in my life. It feels like there’s no justice.
I’ve done it many a time! I don’t trust OP’s couch credentials!
I have whiplash and two pillows is just right. I’m blessed.
I’ve never heard “strike” so I assume you know more about doors than I do.
