Hi! I’m British, I like music (grime, garage, hip-hop, R&B, and more!). I like art, culture, history, politics, & doomscrolling memes.
Also a touch of programming :)

Click this and then try to post a comment. There’s the issue.
The script redirects all links to your home instance. You posted that comment from https://lemmy.zip/ which is where you have your account, hence no issue. If I link you this post from another instance (see above), you won’t be able to interact.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
That’s not what I’m talking about, I’m talking about the associated/supported links that the app will try to open by default. Sure, that seems to work, and so does this https://ani.social/post/11480352?scrollToComments=true … except if I try to navigate to that URL from my browser/outside of Boost.
Some lemmy instances just aren’t associated with Boost at all, so the app can’t open them natively, e.g this for example https://endlesstalk.org/post/86819672 will take you to the apps browser-view/open outside of Boost regardless of where you click it.

Swapped Google for Ecosia
Brave for Librefox (also swapped Firefox Nightly for Iceraven on mobile)
Swapped Uber for Bolt/Uber Eats for Just Eats
Yes. It’s quite popular amongst that crowd to claim the CIA essentially proved psychic powers were real.
The CIA absolute did investigate and put to use people who claimed to be mediums/psychics/remote viewers but the research was shuttered and discredited.
Summit gets updates all the time. Thunder and Jerboa are also actively developed. Boost for Lemmy hasn’t received an update in awhile, but the dev mentioned he’s working on updating it. I like Boost personally.
Genuinely all over Nigeria. That’s the ultimate root of the scam, the fact that princes actually common.
Plex has been on a downward spiral for awhile now. This will really kill the service for a lot of people, wonder if Plex sharing will be a thing of the past and people switch to jellyfin sharing
this isn’t a “gen Z” problem, this is a “normal people” problem. Most people just want something easy, accessible, and familiar.

I subscribe to mostly Lemmy.world instances,
you subscribe to communities on the lemmy.world instance. Ultimately, lemmy.world doesn’t exist without the efforts of the developers behind Lemmy, so that’s definitely more important imo.
Right now, the only method is to use a specific community for this, use sticky posts, or use an external tool.
After the City Fibre rollout, Virgin just doesn’t make sense anymore.
You can on Sync for Lemmy but it’s too low Res.
