That picture is a diagram, not science. It was made by a writer, specifically a columnist for Medium.com, not a scientist. It was cited by a professor who, by looking at his bio, was probably not a scientist. You would know this if you followed the citation trail of the article you posted.
You’re citing an image from a pop culture blog and are calling it science, which suggests you don’t actually know what you’re posting, you just found some diagram that you thought looked good despite some pretty glaring flaws and are repeatedly posting it as if it’s gospel.
What is this nonsense Euler diagram? Emotion can intersect with consciousness, but emotion is also a subset of consciousness but emotion also never contains emotion? Intelligence does overlap at all with sentience, sapience, or emotion? Intelligence isn’t related at all to thought, knowledge, or judgement?

Having an open mind is great and all, but once you’ve gathered enough information to take a position you’re not obligated to coddle those who remain willfully ignorant. I’ve personally never found astrology “fun,” it’s stupid woo that encourages people to adopt other stupid woo. At a time when anti-intellectualism is being institutionalized into government policy (in the US at least,) I don’t see how anyone in good faith can actively encourage that.

I just don’t understand why Trump supporters believe Trump. It was clear that his campaign was influenced by Project 2025, and he had several of its authors at his inner circle. But he claimed he didn’t know anything about it and for some reason his supporters believed him.
And now he’s doing exactly what was promised. None of this should be a surprised. The document was openly published by a think tank, his campaign embraced it, and yet his supporters thought it wasn’t going to happen.

As someone who likes spicy food: People who eat spicy develop a tolerance. We literally can’t tell how spicy it is under a certain threshold.
While that’s possible, I kind of suspect that if Trump clearly loses this election, the Republicans will just start distancing themselves from him.
He’s 78 and on trial for multiple felonies. In 4 years he’ll be 82 with 2 election losses in a row and possibly be still embroiled in legal battles. I just don’t see the Republicans trying as hard as they did in 2020 to keep him afloat when they can just ditch him and focus on their rebrand for 2028.
I’m a fallibilist: I don’t believe we can know anything for certain. The best we can do is base propositions off contingent statements: “If what I see is reliable, then what I see in the mirror is not a brain in a vat.”
A brain in a vat is not a very useful starting axioms, so I have no reason to give it serious consideration. By contrast, while taking the general accuracy of my own senses as axiomatic eventually leads me to conclude they can be fallible (example: hallucinations,) it is nonetheless a way more useful axiom for deriving a base of contingent knowledge.
Your brain is you, though, just like your hands are you. Whether there’s a lag between the time that imaging detects you made a decision and you say you made one does not change the fact that you’re the one making the decision.
