Worst case they end up not selling and can possibly return items for full refund.
They’ve gotten smarter, and in some cases don’t even acquire the original item until they have a buyer. It’s basically arbitrage for shipping at that point.

NATO shills
Says the guy with a brand new account who has exclusively posted anti-west and anti-Ukraine content. Go home, Putin - you’re drunk.
I see you haven’t even noticed yet the small inaccuracies they intentionally introduce so people correct them in the comments, which drives up engagement metrics and boosts the video even higher.
Nobody’s denying that retail enabled Amazon to get where they are today and continues to be an important aspect of the business. But the notion that increased retail demand due to remote work would be a major boon for the company’s bottom line is fundamentally flawed. If anything, sudden surges in demand tend to be costly, since their distribution network is tuned to be able to just barely meet expected demand.

At almost zero profit
used Amazon to order stuff to work from home
Amazon makes almost no money on retail sales. They make their money from AWS and from advertisers.
Apache2 is preferred nowadays.
You think that a license that imposes more restrictions on its use is more free than one that imposes fewer???

I’m not saying all stab wounds are worse than all periods. I sliced my finger with a pocket knife once and am fairly confident it was not as bad as period pain. But in general, the average pain and seriousness of being stabbed with a knife is going to be greater than the average pain and seriousness of having your period. The simple fact that while having your period is almost never fatal (and usually limited to societies with poor sanitization combined with “menstrual hut” practices), compared to stab wounds which are about 10-15% fatal, supports this.
I haven’t experienced either of these, but I’m fairly certain that period pain is less intense than being literally stabbed with a knife.

I’d have more sympathy if this was something like peanut butter or eggs instead of smoked wild salmon.
150k at 12% is $1543/mo; in 2023 dollars, that’s $3609/mo. 1.2M at 7% is $7984/mo.
Over the same time period, the S&P500 has gone up by a factor of 13.6x - if you invested $150k in 1990 you’d have $2.04M today.
I’m not trying to make a point - I just thought this was interesting.
I had the group liquidated you little shit!
I refuse to update my laptop
Is it your laptop, or is it their laptop? If it’s yours, you have every right to request that they issue a corporate laptop if they need you to use Windows 11 to do your job. Otherwise, it’s time to grow up - it’s not like they’re forcing you to commit an OSHA violation.
far beyond the close competition in both quality and performance
It’s true that Apple continues to be the king of build quality. And while they do currently hold the performance per watt crown, there are plenty of laptops that beat the M2 when it comes to raw performance, especially if you throw in a dGPU. And of course, none of this matters if the device doesn’t run the software you want, which is what I suspect most people on Lemmy have issue with.
He’s technically correct - if you bleed fast enough for long enough, you won’t get infected by anything that needs a live host to grow.
