How did you get the non-shortened WaPo link to submit successfully? I couldn’t get the same type of WaPo link to work on other instances presumably because it was too long for Lemmy.
WP gift article expires in 14 days: https://wapo.st/455uN3H

Just a suggestion, but I would have prefixed the heading with “Opinion”.
Soyagi complained incessantly. He didn’t read the subheading.
Might be under my instance infosec.pub. See https://lemmy.world/modlog?page=1&userId=606019
Edit: just to be clear, the post was definitely in lemmy.world (see above link); I’m just not sure how logs are stored and organized in the federation model.
World [email protected] removed an opinion peace critical of the CCP. Check the mod log filtering on my name. So now I post in lemmy.ml which seems to have a more mature culture of debate and discussion based on search of opinion posts and pinned politics post of the lemmy.ml owner.

I’ll edit the link for the post. Sorry, didn’t realize these type of gift links expire after 14 days.
It’s a “gift article” to get past paywall: https://helpcenter.washingtonpost.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403823008539-How-to-use-gift-articles
I see… FYI I found that not selecting a language helps gift posts go through but no luck with the non-short WaPo links.
I wish posts with gift links didn’t lose the crosspost functionality, non-short (i.e. query string in URL) or shortened. Any idea if this has been submitted as a feature request to Lemmy’s developers?
Thanks for the info
