Honestly, I think necro’ing posts is really only a problem when your forum software doesn’t have many options for sorting the feed. Lemmy is more advanced; if you don’t like necro’d posts, then just don’t sort by recent activity.

Idk why you think this has to be black and white. I know it’s not the ideal community for my post. But I could not find an appropriate (living) community for it. While Lemmy is small, I think we all need to give a little leeway about perfectly matching the criteria for a community.
