Ab jetzt müssen sie überall erklären, dass X mal Twitter war. Finde ich eigentlich noch witzig.
Wo in der Schweiz ist dies geschehen?
I did, and now it’s me who is crying.
Can we appreciate for a moment what a hero his uncle is? I’m feeling so happy for all of them!

I’d go even further and say: A platform where you can share any type of media (text, pictures, video, 3d models, …) but with threads and forum like comments as seen on lemmy or reddit. Each instance could then limit the upload size up to a certain limit or even use a decentralized type of storage like IPFS or something similar.
Also I’d love to emphasize user based moderation/curation. I’d love to have a platform where you can see everything without any censorship but there are easy ways to filter the content locally using user built presets or just a very granular configuration.
And last but not least: Single Sing On. ActivityPods is already in development so I hope all the best.
The developers have made it clear that they want to have a robust, sophisticated and scalable ecosystem before they do any advertising. The project is therefore mostly known only in cypherpunk and niche privacy communities, and so are the things that are sold on the public marketplace.
However, all the tools and automations to run an efficient online commerce already exist. For example, there is a connection to WooCommerce and scripts that facilitate the listing of items.
So from the technical side, practically everything is already available in the marketplace. What is missing is a web integration which is urgently needed for a broader adoption and easier possibilities to buy PART the native currency. The developers are currently working on the latter by developing Basicswapdex.com.
I like to have a history of my posts linked directly to my account. It’s what I contributed to the community and I’d like it to be a part of my profile.
Nextcloud is pretty straightforward and easy to use. It will ptobably have all the features you need or buy you some time to set up something more professional if you really want.
Have a look at particl.io
Sure but currently switching is a huge pain in the ass as you cant really take over your posts not to mention the migration of your communities which is currently impossible. So all the people saying somwthing like “just switch to another instance” tend to forget that this isn’t really possible at the moment.
Thank you. I think somebody is already working on community migration.
We still lack an open wallet implementation but it’s being worked on: https://openwallet.foundation/
