Yes in theory, but you have to vet the libraries you add to be really sure, even these “integrations” might be open source and still be malicious, because they prey on the lazy devs (…don’t look at me 👀) that would just look at the license and say “ah it’s MIT, all good then”.
To be honest, they would also need to be either very gullible or desperate to fall for such an offer, open source devs usually don’t go around offering get rich quick schemes

In order of easiness:

• Steam (click and play)
• Heroic (click and play)
• Lutris (search the right game entry, then click and play)
• Bottles (gives you access to some game launchers made for Windows)

I suggest to install all of them with Flatpak to avoid messing up your system different with Wine versions, prefixes and whatnot

I never dabbled in ROM installation, but I really felt the bad things going on with the MIUI once I tried it, it’s such a shame because the hardware is so good for the price and it’s funny that it wouldn’t have cost them more to put a stock Android, that would have most likely worked better, but then they wouldn’t have got their hands on that sweet sweet data…

I agree that it’s better to be opt-in, rather it should be the only way, but I mean the whole concept seems twisted to me, I would doubt that Google too wouldn’t use their other countless streams of data to feed their own datasets with the fake opt-in of account registration on top of that specific application
