I dunno, I think Elon leans Chaotic.
I dunno, I think Elon leans Chaotic.
He looks really really bad.
Heyoooo
This is so stupid. Is the implication that testosterone during puberty somehow makes you better at chess?!?
Thank you for posting.
I’ve visited Maui and went to Lahaina. Took a photo in front of the banyan tree. As someone who was evacuated by the Marshall fire as well, this hits home in so many ways.
My heart goes out to the residents of that beautiful place.
You look like a woman to me. I wish you’d be easier on yourself. 😔
This brings me back. A simpler time.
The first thing that came to mind, oddly enough, was Blockbuster refusing to buy Netflix for the equivalent of a rat and a string to swing it with.
If forced to choose, I’d give up flying. As I’m scared of it anyway, that makes the most sense. :)
That said, I think that if we all just did less of those things, it would be good too. Take more vacations near home. Eat meat only a few times a week. That sort of thing.
Hey, I think it’s fine to cut yourself some slack on this issue. :-)
You like what you like, and if you’re going to commit resources and time to another being over 18 years or so, I think it’s fine to enjoy the way it looks! I for example love gray cats, but only because of a positive association I have with a previous pet. Are all gray cats as loving as he was? I’m sure not, but I still have such positive thoughts in my head about the grey babies.
It’s the day when we’ve collectively used as many resources as the earth can produce in one year. This year, it was August 2.
What a brave woman. Jesus.
USA! USA!
Sometimes I think you don’t need AI to replace me. Just a GIF of Roy from The IT Crowd saying, “Have you tried turning it off and on again?”
Fair enough. I think you and I probably agree except for one thing—I believe more in the greediness of humans than our ingenuity. Which probably makes me a nihilist, I dunno. :)
Check out this article. As the author points out, “some technology that is completely unknown right now will save us!” is magical thinking. A quote:
We could call the implausible amounts of disappearing carbon in the models a kind of “carbon rapture,” magicking the pollutant away by mysterious means. It’s easy to see how those eager to believe we can be saved from climate change’s effects without much effort would want to believe in the coming carbon rapture. But the dubiousness of this joyful “tech-will-save-us” assumption is getting harder to hide.
If this Twitter tanking by Musk isn’t intentional, he’s one of the stupidest oligarchs to ever exist.
Location: Colorado.
This weekend I backpacked through some mountainous areas like where I used to live in Colorado 20 years ago. The woods seemed oddly…sterile? But you could only really see it if you paid close attention. Fewer birds, fewer small critters, just an eerie quiet. And no bugs except for pests—tons of flies and mosquitoes.
It’s a lonely quiet world.
Edit: Forgot to add that there was a tornado on Pikes Peak. Yeah.
I am so tired of this argument. It’s not a good one.
You just listed a bunch of tasks that take at most a couple of hours per week. When women do a couple of hours of extra work every day.
Please don’t come into women’s spaces with any variety of “not all men.” It’s not cute.
