Miss Meow really likes Mr Woof’s new carrier. The sheepskin rug is apparently very comfortable.

Spintel has now received my personal Worst Customer Service award. I have cancelled my order with them and am going with iinet instead.
It is at least very obvious if I have the reading glasses on and look up at anything else. It might help keep me focused on my reading, I certainly can’t focus on anything else. I’ll probably only wear the reading glasses when I am sitting on the lounge reading, the multi-focals are good for everything else.
I got in some morning exercise walking to Eastland and back to pick up my new glasses. I am now officially an Old Woman with both multifocals and reading glasses.

Hope you get better soon and it’s not too bad.
How exciting, a celebrity chef for the day!
May I have a full English Breakfast (no baked beans) and a cappuccino with some sort of fancy chocolate art on top please.
Miss Meow is too busy doing her quality control nap checks on Mr Woof’s carry cage to be playing with the washing.
Oh dear, I did washing this morning and just realised I forgot to hang it up! I must hasten to the drying rack…
Ooh, I leaned about how to find those when I was in Brownies. You have to go find a pond, turn around three times and look in the water while reciting a rhyme to see them. It goes “twist me and turn me and show me the elf”. You look in the water and see… yourself.
Indoctrinating young girls into their role as house keepers, gotta love it. Pretty sure the Scouts didn’t get that one. Unfortunately it’s also right, this is all on me. I’d rather a helpful pixie.
The expensive maintenance thing the previous owner of my van was putting off turned out to be a timing belt. So my plans to maybe go to the new place tomorrow have been put off to allow time for the belt to be replaced. Otherwise all looks as expected for a six year old van, so that’s good.
Mr Woof’s new travel crate has been put together and I have his sheepskin blanket folded in the bottom. He should be quite cosy there once he gets used to the idea of being confined - I just have to work out the best way of strapping it down in the back of the van.
I still have a few weeks before the move and I’d like to cull some of my stuff a bit more instead of moving stuff I don’t actually want. Panicked yeeting into a box is scheduled for everything left the week before the move.
I have managed to pack two boxes of fragile servingware today. All boxes are being liberally padded out with bits of fabric from my stash. By the time I get to the sewing room there should not be much fabric left to pack.
I’m looking around at all the stuff that needs to be packed and feeling very unmotivated. I’d like a magic wand please.
The new toaster oven/air fryer has arrived. I have a test batch of hash browns cooking now.
I’m glad I was able to get the spiffy black and silver model, it matches the black microwave quite well.
Eggs Benedict served on hash browns please, with a tall glass of tropical juice (no orange).
It was hand delivered, not sent via post. There is no delivery address or return address.
No, it’s to specific named people. I can actually read the card inside through the envelope (I may have been nosy and held it up to the light 🤣) and it’s pretty much just a note that someone visited while they were out. Not the end of the world if they don’t get it, but I presume they would like to know.
Miss Meow definitely likes the new mat I put in her carrier, she keeps napping in there. She’s in there now snoring away.
I had a mysterious hand delivered letter in my mailbox today, addressed to some people who are not me and marked “private and confidential”.
It can’t be too confidential because it was a card I was able to read through the envelope, which I presume would be meaningful to whoever it was addressed to but not to me. There is no address or anything so there is no way of passing it on to the right person. I’m thinking maybe just put it through the shredder?
Todd is home, after two days away at the mechanics. New spark plugs and a new timing belt, and he made friends with another Caddy in the parking lot.
They were running a bit late so I took a cab instead of walking down, which was very quick - I barely had time to get my shoes on before he arrived!
