You know, there’s that term “vexatious litigant” for someone who keeps bringing frivolous and invalid lawsuits. We need something similar for lawmakers.

1·2 years agoYour phone marks photos as rotated with a flag in the metadata. Lemmy strips the metadata off to avoid exposing things like location, which unfortunately also makes it forget how the photo should be rotated

2·2 years agoI run Linux on an old Surface Pro 3. I prefer Gnome, because it works very well on a touchscreen device, especially one with an OS key on it
20·2 years agoConsolidating too many communities and users in a single large instance makes the fediverse vulnerable, not just to attacks, but also to poor decisions by the owners of the large instance, such as what happened with Reddit

The trick I use is to hold the pill between my front teeth, and then release it as I take a sip of water. The pill goes straight down, none of that bumping into the side of your throat
I just started watching The Orville (Fun little story: when I went to start it I got it mixed up with The OA, and spent the whole first episode of that wondering when the spaceship was going to show up). I’m not sure I’d call it good TV, but it’s enjoyable!
Huh, really? I don’t understand what 196 is about, but I tend to enjoy what gets posted there. Definitely haven’t seen anything offensive

2·2 years agoYears ago I worked for a company that provided employees with an MSDN subscription. When I left I went in and activated all the product keys and put them in a spreadsheet. No one in my family has had to buy Windows in a long time
