It changes a bit when the “joke misspelling” is implied to be the reason why it’s as fucked as it is, instead of exercising some critical thinking and blaming the real reason.

The “joke misspelling” spreads misinformation and is part of the reason why we ended up with 2016 - 2020. At some point it stops being just jokes and is actually how people think, so it becomes a legitimate problem.

There’s some slight functionality differences and maybe some customization: for example, Relay had swipe controls which were pretty nice.

This. I’ve been using Jerboa ever since making the switch to Lemmy. There wasn’t much of a learning curve and it basically does what I want, so I’m happy with it.

At least for me, Mastodon replaced Twitter and Lemmy replaced Reddit. But then, I’m not “normal” and find the Fediverse to be endlessly fascinating.

As stated here, the Springs are moving left. It’s Weld county that appears to be the new Conservative bastion here, but even that is starting to weaken.

Mozilla Thunderbird can connect to IRC servers as a chat client. Just sayin’.
