Yes, I am familiar with grass. It’s nice to have in some places and in limited amounts. However, I’d wager that the majority of grass is not used for anything except aesthetics. There are some other benefits, like keeping insects and wildlife away from structures. While this article is hyperbolic, it makes some good points. Grass is an unproductive monoculture. It’s cut before it even goes to seed, and therefore doesn’t produce food for animals like it would in the wild. People use polluting ICE engines to tend to it (I had a neighbor who mowed his a 1 acre lawn literally every day with a riding mower). An average lawnmower, due to inefficient engines and lack of pollution controls, puts out emissions similar to a full size pickup. People cover lawns in toxic herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers. And then, much of what is cut goes to the landfill, not even compost.

That’s Elron’s style, too. What they should have been doing instead of the inane CT is updating their normal vehicles. They make incremental improvements but they’re looking pretty aged at this point.

The thing is recently when he thinks about Tesla, it’s stupid AI crap and things like the robot. So not only is he detracting with idiocy like the CT, but also distracting Tesla from what is supposed to be their real focus.

Their development seems to be very slow and Elron can’t focus on them as a car company. And obviously, while they were expected to solve FSD before the completion, they’re not, and meanwhile focus turned to things like their stupid robot. The real models haven’t been updated in years while meanwhile they released a horrific travesty of a truck. Tesla may still have some useful technology but they’re being rapidly left behind while their CEO goes on deranged power trips with the government.

The board is completely under his control, so that’s unlikely. It’s probably more about Tesla’s stock price.

Very inspiring. One objection, though… he’s not really a founder of Tesla. He bought his way in and made them accept a clause that he could say he was a founder, then pushed out the actual founders.

Back when it was on reddit the politics of chapostraphouse pretty much confused the fuck out of me. This image here is a good example. Nobody who is “left” or even “lib” would think that trump is anything but a lying criminal fascist douchebag, and would strongly question his motives for “ending the Korean war”, which seemed to be clumsily attempting to cozy up to a brutal dictator who he admired. So what are they talking about? Who knows. I don’t think they really know.

At the same time, I was just rolling my eyes at a hexbear thread about how there is no such thing as racism against white people, since real racism MUST be institutional racism and colonialism. So it’s okay to use any anti-white slur. Reminds me of how their basic philosophy is that the US is bad, therefore Stalinist USSR, Putin Russia and the CCP must be great.
