If you actually have to type all day, you get into ergonomic mechanical keyboards 😎
I only soldered the mcu module and the hs sockets. Usually also prefer seperate mcu board for flexibility and repairability
when ignoring the tucky thumb keys it’s quite nice :)
it’s just the legends, i’m not typing katakana with it 😅
For getting that feeling folks often recommend printing out the layout and testing how comfortable it feels on paper (of course not gping to be 100% accurate but i’ve heard it helps a lot)
Wow, awesome! I love how different it looks.
Not sure what layout OP is going for, but the Miryoku layout features lots of the usual ways people go to fit a full keymap (and more) into such small keebs :)
Very cool! What are the points you’re not satisfied with?
Beautiful 😍
I don’t find it any usable and just don’t use it at all 😅 I feel like there’s enough unused combo space left, no additional keys needed :)
That is so nice to hear! 💚 Thank you :)
Haha, I’m also still trying to figure out whether it is for me. But I do know that aptmak on my 28-key zilpzalp is for me 😍
Yeah, tbqh I’m also never entirely sure with pinks, light blues and purpz :D
At one point in time, someone also sold manually spring-swapped pinks, so maybe the 20g info is from that batch? Not entirely sure though…
Just be careful to test whether they still return fine with 20g. I had quite a lot fail when i tried swapping in 15g springs :D
robins are rather heavy, but pinks are great! i can also recommend swapping in 25g springs with the robins. makes for a great light clicky switch.
Yea, i’m also using light chocs here (pinks, which are 25g). Maybe i could even spring-swap them to 15g.
I don’t think i prefer one over the other (yet), Taipo is much more cumbersome for me still. But I really enjoy the different approach and what it gives us in terms of keymap optimization: Effectively removes considerations of rolls, SFBs, and alternation almost completetly!
Very nice read, and I was reminded a lot of my own considerations starting out in the hobby. Looking forward to what comes next :)
This is soo fancy! Absolutely fantastic :)
fancy features i enjoy a lot:
