people who live in 90% of the least densely populated land on earth are… not that many people in the grand scheme of things.
And if you live close enough to civilization to have utilities like power maybe it’s possible to also have a grocery store that’s closer than average distance between towns in germany. Might even be beneficial idk.

the signalled pedestrian crossing looks like a waste of time for everybody If this is one way, as the old one was it’s still very wide. Are you building for highway speeds? Same goes for curves.
Was the right pedestrian crossing moved away from the desired path?
Can we see more towards the bottom of the picture? It gets pretty wide for no obvious reason there. How are cyclists supposed to travel from the right side of the intersection to the left?
If those are all one-ways, maybe it’d be a better use of space to give cyclists an separated counterflow lane?
What’s up with bike parking that’s separated from the only bike lane with a lawn? That’s like the worst possible place for it, far from every possible destination.
Again, it sure looks nicer, but you kind of have to realize it’ll stay in that shape for 30, 40 maybe 60 years. So maybe build it really really well, this seems half-baked.
