Honestly I struggle to fully understand what I see. I think what you are referring to is actually the tree that I would have said is in front of me.

I think this is now demonstrating the ‘top sort’ bug I was looking at because the child comments have higher vote count than the negative parent. Get these child comments even lower then the parent!.. please.
