I take it as a good sign, the more they try to grasp at straws to sway people, the more they are losing any hope of popularity.

It’s really telling how the right and far right have to constantly market to everyone on a regular basis and with so much effort all the time in order to stay relevant.

My favourite alien invasion scenario is a small meteorite containing a small core of self replicating nanobots.

It lands on the surface, cools down to a moderate temperature and then starts replicating using the surrounding material and minerals. First day, there’s nothing, second day still nothing, a week later it looks like mold, a week later mold is now a meter square, a week later it is a kilometer square, now it looks like a moving liquid and just starts spreading around and even lifts into the air in wisps and starts spreading in new areas everywhere down wind. A month later, it’s liquefying whole fields and the spread is jumping into the oceans, jungles, deserts, even mountains, ice caps and glaciers. Six months later it is on every continent and people are becoming infected with the air borne spores … it makes them sick, unwell and eventually kills them as the nanobots consume their organs and body parts. Pictures come out everywhere of forests being consumed, animals, birds, fish, everything and anything. Militaries and scientists try to figure out how to destroy it … fire, chemicals, radiation, extreme heat, extreme cold … nothing works. Extreme heat seems to work but only at the rate of tens of thousands of degrees at a time, same with extreme cold to near absolute zero conditions which only seems to slow it down. Neither extreme heat nor extreme cold mechanisms can be employed without massive amounts of energy.

Within a year, its everywhere and only accelerating exponentially without end.

A year later, the entire planet has been liquified into a long never ending global mass of nanobots floating on a sea of magma on the earth’s surface. No mountains, no oceans, no land, no water, no atmosphere, just a never ending sea of grey formless matter.

… and a thought that often reminds me of how dangerous the universe can be is the idea that there might be random small or large meteorites like the one I described here, may or may be floating around randomly through space waiting to just land on a planet like ours.

Exactly … and even though the Pope himself might have lowered his standards of living as the head of the church … it’s still a multinational organization that is basically a corporation that controls billions of dollars of wealth and real estate, not to mention the legions of church heads and professionals they employ and give millions to. All of it financed by common people everywhere who need that money more than the organization. All of it financed in order to maintain their control of thousands of real estate holdings and properties they control all over the world, not to mention having to finance a city state within one of the most expensive cities in the world in Rome, Italy.

Millions spent every year in order to just exist while they tell everyone that millions should be spent to feed the poor.

Personally, I have a lot of respect for the late pope … but I have no respect for the organization he led.

Meanwhile an orange president is given directions and suggestion as to what to wear to an international funeral for a prominent figure and he ignores all protocols because he is just that dense.

He’s laughing at all of us because he’s thumbing his nose at the world to let everyone know he can do whatever he pleases without any regard for decency or respect … for himself, his country, the living or even for the dead.

Blue suit? … oh, I’m wearing blue and not black because I’m not sad … I’m just here so that everyone can see me.

Don’t eat pork, don’t eat shell fish, don’t work on Sundays (or Saturdays depending on who you talk to), no sex before marriage, don’t masturbate … but you can bend the rules and get close to doing those things and even get away with breaking the rule because God is an idiot that can easily be outwitted or deceived with human logic.

And this is just a small list of rules and regulations … there’s a whole list of things that are not allowed in the bible but Christian leaders have made workarounds on everything because they are smarter than God.

It’s hilarious when you think of the fact that most of Canada is nothing but large areas of freshwater … especially in the province where I am from ‘Ontario’, an indigenous word that is in reference to ‘great lake’ or ‘sparkling water’, generally a reference to ‘fresh water’

It’s also frustrating in northern Ontario where we are literally surrounded by fresh water lakes and rivers, yet it is the same part of the country where many semi-remote and very remote communities either have little water, dirty water, tainted water or just no water.
