Tailscale is not completely foss.
Tags are essential. As all other features I mentioned. There are tons of app lists out there. Git repos, websites, subredits even app stores, none of this option are ideal for a quick post that will provide a brief preview , catecorisation , public accessibility and user comments at the same time.
Lemmy would be great though. It has link previews. Can be webviewed without an account. Has user interaction. There is also progress on the tag system. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/317#issuecomment-1688384524 If it ever goes upstream and implemented it will be perfect
If anyone can suggest a telegram alternative that can be publicly accessed without an account, can use tags and create a media and text preview from the providing link I’ll be more than happy to use that instead
I used telegram after thought
Matrix is only good for continous flow chatting
There is no way to categorise and search messages
Matrix does not have search filter. Actually does not have any search at all in groups
Also there is no way categorise messages by any mean
In telegram I just add a # in the post Then Users tap on the # and all related messages appear
Easy
And fast
That would require a lot more work. The idea behind the channel is to have an instant share and categorisation of an app I and other found and want to share and then use the related channel group to comment about it
You can access the channel from a web browser adding /s/ to the url https://t.me/s/favandroidapps
Tap on #tags on the pinned message to view only message with the selected tag
ps:Updated the post link with the web version of the channel
This probably will never hapen Being a flutter app needs flutter plugins to call the aprpriate android api’s This is problematic when it comes to silent instalations
To re-run the initial setup
Delete nextcloud/data folder
Delete nextcloud/config/config.php file
Add nextcloud/config/CAN_INSTALL file
And docker-compose up
Google bans new acounts that never used in official playstore before
Use a spare gmail acount that you have also used with playstore
Anonymus logins also get rate limits or get banned
As for alternative
App lounge from /e/ OS uses auroraOSS Gstore api to download from playstore so it’s basically like using aurora
Other than that the are Python scripts you could use on termux but those also need a proper gmail account
Same apply to linux/windows programs available
I always used my “normal” google account in Aurora also been using this account with microg since ages Never had an issue I don’t care if the account gets banned though.
Maybe appkmirror is the only other “sane” option.
I can imagine some implementation without login e.g. read your donations from your github, kofi etc acounts if thats even posible
btw does feature requests make sense here? Isn’t a GitLab issue more suitable?
Their release scheme is questianable yes as you said alpha and beta released in play store only then comes the fdroid release As long as there is an fdroid release I cant blame them really but you got a fait point
Feature wise they developed their own open autofill and swipe libs plus I love the layouts. Actually builded my own layout but I like the over logic with bottom / top rows, gesture navigations etc
Thats a great idea but it will require some short of an fdroid account
I mean your donation history have to be stored somewhere in case the apps data on phone gets wiped e.g. app uninstalled
You can view your donations in github though
You’ll still have gms and google apps installed also the proprietary apps installed Most are system apps but some can be uninstalled
Have in mind in stock OS’s you’ll need an account to recover from a factory reset
Aurora store with a google account for playsrtore apps. Fdroid is also installed and I do regullar visits on their website and also on izzyondroid site for new apps. I’ve tried syncthing but sync got corrupted and lost files while trying to figure out what went wrong (maybe a missconfiguration from my side I’m not sure).I never used it again

Nextcloud is an overkill. Its just too much. I’d say better split down the needed services. Baikal/radicale etc for contacts/calendar. Photoprism/librephotos etc for photos. A webdav server for storage. And so on.
Headscale does not support funnels unfortunately
