Yes, open source software often requires funding and corporate support because we live in a primarily capitalist society. That doesn’t make it capitalist itself.
And I think the freedom foss offers is socialist - it necessitates cooperation, it’s open for all to see and contribute to, and the idea of ownership is very loose. It doesn’t matter what the political motivation is.
The idea of free software is extremely socialist/communist. People working together to create something that anyone can use for free, with profit being a non-existent or at least minor motivator.
I’m well aware how fucked up the US is. It created al-qaeda. Hell, this is some crazy secret knowledge you can’t learn anywhere, it’s on Wikipedia.
Also a hot take, I don’t like the war in Ukraine. I don’t think it should be happening and I wish it would end because I think war fucking sucks.
Believe it or not, the world is a complex place filled with a lot of countries that do lots of things, both good and bad, and it’s not cool or edgy to just say the US is bad and [insert other country here] is good. Hell, you realize one of the most influential forces in the Chinese government (and a huge influence in the west) is Tencent, a massive profit-focused cooperation. That ain’t communist.

Kira please stop asking me to turn into anime characters
Fair can mean pale-skinned and maiden can mean virgin.
I feel like there are more important things though. Like sure, maybe the marketing number is exaggerated, but are any of the planets even interesting? Is the game fun? Is it polished? Did the development involve abuse and overwork? Like seriously, who gives a shit if there are 100 planets or 1000, you’re never going to explore all of them anyway.
But you can get both editors on either de? It’s not even like nautalus vs dolphin where you compare defaults since neither come preinstalled.
Not that I’m aware of, unfortunately.
Yep, I wanted them to be easy to spot so they have lots of smooth curves in contrast to the environment, where I try to limit myself to sharp angles.
Thanks!
Thank you! It’s hard with story-driven games, I think there’s a reason why there aren’t trailers for books lol.
Thanks for the wishlist! I’ve taken from a lot of stuff for this game. Naissancee (and indirectly Blame!) are the main ones in terms of aethetic. The strange liminal vibes of stuff like Inside and The Beginner’s Guide is also something I want to capture.
I don’t have a steam deck, but I’m developing on Linux so a native Linux port is a guarantee, and I’m aiming for full controller support. So it should work pretty well.
For me -noimp works for the collection but I need to test more to see if all hints work for collections.
They’ve recently made some changes to the style that make it a lot more modern, mostly switching to the papyrus icon pack and making the accent colors more saturated.
Firefox gets so much crap for the logo when it’s probably the best minimalist logo there is. People just mistook the more general Firefox “brand” logo with the actual browser logo.
It’s always funny looking back at stuff like this. I remember looking at old articles about Catherine Tate becoming a companion in doctor who and people were furious - and in retrospect not only was she one of the best companions, but that was probably the greatest era of the show.
We should be able to see who’s playing the game.
Put Gordon Freeman on one side of the board, and Saul Goodman on the other.
Is that a widespread problem with decks? I feel like for the most part they’re lasting ok. There’s always gonna be an occasional dud when manufacturing something, especially when it’s as complex as a computer.
Propaganda for what?
