  • There is spaceship battles, not sure about random locations, but I’m guessing you’d also need to fast travel to those.

Also the spaceship is VERY customizable, so much in fact that I found it overwhelming lmao. Not saying that’s bad thing, but you’d definitely need to come up with a lot of credits /loot first.

Again I only have 4 hours in game, so I don’t really know much yet.

Just played 4 hours. Not saying whether the game is good or bad, but I’m not seeing the point of the spaceship yet.

It’s looks like merely a medium for the fast traveling mechanic. You can’t really “move” in space (as far as ive tried), and can’t use it to fly within a planet.

I expected being able to manually travel from planet A to planet B and finding cool stuff along the way. If you wanna actually move you need to fast travel.

I also expected to be able to get in my ship and go from place A to place B within the same planet (also finding cool stuff along the way). It seems that also is just done by fast traveling only.

Sounds convincing, however businesses don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. For me to trust and support this content again, the investigation of the allegations needs to produce conclusive evidence. The whole quality drama passed to the background after Madison showed up what really went inside LMG

Either LMG admits wrongdoing and dishes out consequences to those involved, or they present verifiable and damning evidence showing no abuse occurred. Unlike bootlickers at reddit and ltt forums, I don’t side with businesses against people. If you live in this world and not in your mom’s basement you’d understand why.

If LMG comes out with “we found nothing,” “no conclusions could be made,” or something along those lines without evidence, then fuck them. Not good enough.

I vote with my wallet (and time), and I won’t deal with more corpo BS while abusing emplpyees. Before any smartasses come here with the usual “you live in society” crap. Yeah I can’t go live in the woods like a hermit to be morally right, but I can sure as hell drop a shit tech yt channel.

EDIT: taking another look, the second half of the video was more defensive nonsense. Basically claiming they aren’t a twitter sweatshop, they are the victims, and some heavily edited parking loot footage as “proof”

And the turnover rate is at best a shaky argument, One can argue since it’s mostly guys, they’re not gonna be at the same situation to be bullied, insulted and sexually harassed until leaving. It doesn’t seem the culture will be fixed anytime soon, so I’m just gonna stop wasting more time with it.

  • Not disagreeing with you, but I’m not responsible for Epic being successful. Steam has always been my only place for games, and a few months ago I even deleted my Epic account with a few free games (CIV 6, GTA V) and purchased them on Steam summer sale.

I can’t be arsed to make new accounts, set up friends, payments, install a bunch of shit again and again for any storefront that pops up. Steam is reliable, has good sales, and hasn’t pissed its users off to make them leave.

I’m not even sure luring devs with 6 months of exclusivity is a bad thing for steam users. Games come out in such bad states nowadays that probably sticking with steam and getting a functional game later is better than being a beta tester on Epic.

  • I’m all for this community to shitpost LMG, after all what’s the point of it given their recent fuck up? LMG themselves destroyed their community if anything. Also fuck their screwdriver, it’s $60 and you’re not even ensuring that it’s ethically made by paying such a premium. Employees self-harming to get a day off sounds like something happening at a Chinese factory making $10 screwdrivers, not $60. So fuck them twice.

Unfortunately I don’t have time to shitpost myself, would gladly do it otherwise.

  • I’m not willing to try any Lemmy app that is locked to the latest iOS only (mlem, lemmios, now avelon).

I see it as a red flag that devs are just experimenting with the latest APIs and not committed to long term support & stability. What about when iOS 17 comes out? are these devs gonna require it because they want to test whatever shiny new thing Apple does?

Seems like a pain for users tbh when iOS is quite buggy on new releases, and alienates ppl who are jailbroken or have old devices. No stable software behaves like that, so these apps feel like an experiment that will soon be canned.

I agree with you. Also I want to say that it’s not just hexbear, I have seen groups of users demand defederation from other instances (not just on lemm.ee) because they don’t like seeing NSFW and politics (and other topics I’m sure). If we resort to defederation for any conflict then why are we even here trying to grow Lemmy, it’s clear that it wouldn’t go anywhere and we should just pack up and go back to Reddit and beg u/spez for forgiveness.

Federation is the main point of these platforms, otherwise they are just a bunch of obscure forums walled out from each other, none having enough resources nor userbase to grow into anything meaningful, and quickly being abandoned.

Can’t wait until users are able to block instances so this becomes a non-issue. Probably a compromise could be defederating until the feature is ready, not sure if that’s possible, and on the event Hexbear admins/mods not do enough to moderate.
