From the sounds of the blog post, you can select as many of them at the same time as you want. It’s just an option for people who, for example, never play PvP to not get their UI cluttered with PvP goals.

Long answer: no, but there is some correlation between the average attention span dropping, people enjoying short form videos, and a lack of a mind for nuance which is exploited by right wing propagandists and populists, causing a rise in right wing or even far right authoritarian politicians being elected across the world. I’m not nearly educated enough in the field to make any causation claims though (edit: except the one about propaganda exploiting a lack of nuance which causes those far right politicians to be elected, that one doesn’t need a whole lot of expertise to confirm).
Also the US has always been a country of two conservative parties, which could have something to do with more people being susceptible to right wing propaganda

Das Guild Wars 2 Forum ist einigermaßen aktiv weil es halt ein offizieller Kanal zu den Devs ist, aber ich versuche es eigentlich zu vermeiden weil dort hin und wieder sehr viel unnötige Negativität unterwegs ist.

Da würde mich dann schon interessieren wen sie da befragt haben. Oder ob sie einfach ne Online-Umfrage gemacht und das Ergebnis unkritisch übernommen haben. Die Zahlen kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, auch wenn wir grade echt ein Problem damit haben wie viele Leute die AfD akzeptieren.

Ja, so wie sie ausgeliefert wird ist sie ziemlich gut. Sie hat ein paar nervige Interaktionen mit ICMP (lässt z.B. Ping-Pakete einfach fallen), aber sonst hat sie gute Standardeinstellungen.

Wenn man natürlich rumspielt oder bspw. ein Virenschutzprogramm installiert das sie ausschaltet (weil es eine eigene nutzt) kann man das so nicht mehr sagen.

Aber für den 0815 Windows-Nutzer ist meine Empfehlung Windows Defender und Windows Firewall. So gut wie alle Alternativen solange man vernünftig mit seinem Computer umgeht und nicht einfach jeden Mist installiert, und dann gibt man nicht unnötig vielen Programmen hochprivilegierten Zugriff aufs System.

Let’s be real, weekly festival achievements have always been more of a bonus for people who enjoy the festival activities. While I do agree that the numbers could use a bit of tuning (give us 5 points for Queen’s Gauntlet and the races instead of 3, and maybe 15 for Boss Blitz), it’s not that hard to get if you actively play the festival content.

I’m going for all 4 skins that can be gained without crazy grinding (annual plus three from weekly, two down, two to go).

For me, when a festival is out I usually spend a decent chunk of my time in GW2 on them because I can do all the other stuff while festivals aren’t going on too. I realize not everyone enjoys them as much, but in a way it’s nice to be able to get something that takes longer than annuals (which I’m usually done with day one or two). It’s great that annuals don’t take as long, so people who don’t have as much time can still get the exclusive rewards, but it’s also nice to be rewarded for enjoying the festival.
